Who am I?
Hello and welcome to my website. Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2002 I have spent time working within the NHS in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and also within a Social Care setting with looked after children and foster carers.
I have also spent time bringing up my own family and living and working abroad, mainly with young people struggling with the complexity of living cross-culturally.
My passion is for helping young people and their families to overcome their difficulties and to gain their own skills for the future. In order to do this I will often use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but will also draw on other psychological therapies and models. Please see below for information about what difficulties I may be able to help you with.
I am also passionate about prevention and for this reason I have run Circle of Security parenting courses through my church and elsewhere. These aim to nurture positive attachments between parents and their children.
